Lucy's Birthday Round-up!
On Saturday December 1st, Lucy had a Pony Party in celebration of her 2nd birthday:)
She doesn't look especially enthusiastic in most of these pictures but I think it was mostly because she wanted to be running around and not being still for pictures;)
I made some little stick horses as party favors for her friends and they seemed to be a big hit:) I don't have a good picture of the whole set-up on here right now but my friend Amanda did a beautiful job painting the cardboard boxes I collected to make a little western town complete with a soda-saloon and a pony! The kids ran, and climbed, and hollered, and were generally rowdy toddlers having a good time:)
These two are Amanda's kids Aiva and Eli:)
It was such a wonderful blessing to have some of our family come to share Lucy's day:) And it would not have been nearly as well decorated without all the little party things and pony things that Nana and Aunt Mary let us borrow;)
Lucy blew out her candle and everyone had a bit of cake and some snacks. Then it was back to running and climbing:)
I sincerely wish I'd had the presence of mind to take a picture of all of the kids together! We have a few more pictures from other cameras and phones but I think these are generally the best ones we got. My dear friend Amanda was kind enough to give me all the pictures she took:) The dark-headed boy and girl are Eli and Aiva..they are Lucy's best friends and Amanda's (and Ricky's) kids. I talk about them a lot:) Overall, the party was a great success. The only thing that would have made it better was if Nana and Papa ('Sito) would not have been so sick that they couldn't come. Even-so, the party would not have been as good without their help and the help of my other wonderful family and friends. Thank you!! I think my little cowgirl had a wonderful time and our friends at church are still talking about how cute and fun the party was:) See you all very soon!!
Love you:)
